Mission

The Mission of JO’S Learning Academy is to increase the success of low income young children in academic, social-emotional, and literacy skills and to empower the families as partners in their children’s success.

Vision

Each year an increasing number of children in urban-low income settings enter childcare, pre-school, kindergarten and after school programs with multiple issues of risk and challenges. Young children especially face challenges in the areas of literacy and language. Social and emotional issues, unhealthy diet, and low expectations often created by environment in which they live make school success even more difficult. JO’S Learning Academy vision is to address these issues by providing quality Early Childhood education including the Early Head Start program we offer Head Start on the North Side with Acelero Learning their goal is to close the Achievement  gap. At our south side location we offer Head Start with our partners The Council for Spanish Speaking (Gaudelupe along with for Cardinal Stritch University  offers K4 and K5 to prepare our children to entry into 1st grade. We also offer at both locations, JO’S After School program that focuses on academic, life-skills and social-emotional learning.
